If I had to criticize the game itself I would be lacking material^^ so instead Ill just say that the menus are a little too cold and empty, lacking the original design and artwork. Otherwise Im looking forward for the next Dodonpachi Saidaioujou soon!

When Jobs said "desktop quality apps" he meaning games like this! First time that i play this in my Ipod 3gen my mind blow away : awesome graphics and the superb integration on the touchscreen display! This game is very tough even in the easy level but you will get used rapidly. In this HD version, your mind will blown again! Surreal details on the enemies and the environment as well! Summary: you will never regret to buy this game!! All the best CAVE!!

Just bought this game again to play on my new iPad and iPhone 4. On iPhone 4 there is no lag what so ever! This game is the best game on the iOS! Love the music love the game play! Keep up the good work CAVE!

The game is siick plays 100% full speed on a iPhone 4s if you turn off "wait time" good luck if you do. Easily one of the best shooters available on the iOS platform. You can dial down the difficulty too if your weak. thank you cave for releasing these arcade titles in the North American market. Props from Canada!

It doesnt get more authentic than this. Superb and varied gameplay, fantastic fine grain pixel art. Beautiful firepower. Astounding!

Is expensive but you will replay this over and over. -1star for no iPhone 5 support. They could have at least stretched the controls portion if the graphics were too difficult to redo.

Great port of one of the best shmups ever, 10/10!

This is my first bullet hell and I understand why so many people love these things now. The concept is deceptively simple but after you get in to the game it becomes incredibly challenging to string together as many hits and rack up as many points as possible. At the same time its never enraging and dodging through the mesmerizing bullet patterns is actually very cathartic. To solve slowdown issues go to options>other and disable Wait Control.

Nobody does shooters better than Cave. Dont know if it has support for the new retina iPad but on my 4S, it looks amazing. Quite simply, a must have.

Perfect in SD perfect in HD! Maybe the most challenging of Caves catalogue in the Appstore, super engaging patterns and enemies, its never boring, youll do complete runs after runs without even noticing time passing. And at least for me it has the best Cave soundtrack!

I bought the non-hd version the second it hit the app store. Did the same with the HD version. It has always been my favorite game. If you only have one game on your device it should be this. The visuals now equal the gameplay in shear awesomeness.

This game is amazing!!! Its almost as good a Radiant Silvergun! The soundtrack is also amazing. The ONLY real problem here is that it looks somewhat choppy/washed out on the new iPad. Please update this app for the new iPads retina display asap!! Could you also add more color saturation? Thank you.

This game is fantastic, beyond amazing! It would be even more bundles of fun if you world add the Black Label DLC! I hope you will, because I think even more people would download it if you included a Black Label DLC. Again, stellar game!

I have an iPhone 5 and because of that bought DDP Maximum before this game, thinking it would be "better suited," etc. - but I instantly regretted it. Resurrection HD is just the instant classic Cave game for iOS that needs to be owned first. Once you get your "real Cave shooter" fix with Resurrection HD, its fun to switch over to the cartoonier / more line-art style of Maximum…it is a worthwhile purchase...but it does get old far quicker. Its almost like you have to have Resurrection HD first to really appreciate Maximum. If you can only get one, get Resurrection HD.
